near homeomorphism

A mapping $f: X \to Y$ is called a near homeomorphism provided that for each $\varepsilon > 0$ there is a homeomorphism $h: X \to Y$ such that $\sup \{d(f(x), h(x)): x \in X\} < \varepsilon $.
